From Bong Joon-Ho (Snowpiercer, The Host) comes this ‘magic trick’ of a movie that follows a brother and sister as they tutor the child of a wealthy family. Winner of the Palme D’Or at Cannes, this film is sure to go down as one of Joon-Ho’s best.

Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool

A documentary about the coolest Jazz musician of all time? (Sorry John Coltrane) This is going to be a must-watch for anyone that is interested in jazz. Featuring interviews with everyone from Herbie Hancock to The Roots

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford

Part of CIFF’s ‘Made in Alberta’ series, this epic Western was nominated for best cinematography at the 2007 Academy Awards. As much as we love the nothingness of the prairies, that is an absolute feat.
