This ‘secret’ cocktail bar is located in the basement of Two Penny, a popular modern Chinese restaurant. You just need to walk through the main doors and down the stairs on your right-hand side. To keep it interesting, they host comedy nights every Thursday with top local and traveling talent.

It may not be a secret anymore since they recently expanded to take over two spaces in the 17th Ave SW strip mall. This family-run restaurant serves up Nepali cuisine and is rated one of the best restaurants in Calgary on Zomato. Get the Momos– if you know, you know.

This Calgary based boutique features the cutest indie, urban-bohemian styles from brands like Gentle Fawn, OneTeaspoon, and Sundays The Label. They also carry exclusive labels such as Collective Concepts and THML. Everything is hand-picked for their store, making it hard to leave empty-handed.

This hidden urban oasis is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown in the stylish and eccentric Hotel Arts. Priority access is given to hotel guests, but they also have a limited number of day passes available to the public. You’ll have to be quick though since these spots are super sought after. Their recent renovations allow them to stay open all year round which makes this one of the greatest hidden amenities of Calgary.
