Rental of the Week: The largest loft in historic Lewis Stationery building
It’s Wednesday, our dudes! That means we’re halfway through the week already! It also means that it’s time for Curiocity Calgary’s Rental of the Week, as per us (uje?). This time around we’ve got something pretty wild. This downtown condo is the largest in the Lewis Stationery building, an industrial site with over 100 years of history. It’s chic, it’s functional, and it’s probably also haunted. Let’s take a peek!
CALGARY RENTAL OF THE WEEK
This Victoria Park loft has a whopping 1,170 square feet of space. This is huge, especially for a spot downtown. Just think of all the room you’ll have for activities!
The fully furnished wide-open floor plan has beautiful wood slat ceilings, fir beams, red brick walls, gorgeous hardwood flooring, and is well decorated. The interior concept is very Peewee’s Playhouse meets contemporary art gallery.
The kitchen features espresso flat-panel cabinets, glass mosaic backsplash, and has a large island with limestone countertops. It also has stainless steel appliances, but we’re pretty sure that’s the only way they make them anymore, so we guess that isn’t as impressive as it sounds.
The bedroom is a bit small, but it’s cozy and warm in a charming prison cell way. Au revoir nightstand, you’re not welcome here.
On the other hand, the bathroom is massive. The shower itself looks like it’s the same size as the den and the den is big enough for a murphy bed. We stan a sizable shower.
Unfortunately, like most condos worth showing off to you guys, it’ll cost a pretty penny to move in. This downtown condo will set you back a cool $2,500 a month, but hey, maybe Casper will chip in for rent!
