Snow over it: Here’s how Calgarians reacted to this week’s wild winter-like weather

While it’s not out of the ordinary for Alberta to see snow in April, this week was a ride we won’t soon forget. From sunny highs to record lows, the only thing that hit Calgary harder than our weather-induced headache was a bold reminder that (despite some beautiful afternoons) spring has not yet sprung.

From reports that claim YYC was hit with the snowiest day all season on Tuesday to Friday morning’s snowfall warning and globe-like storm, things have been pretty chaotic over the last few days, but we’re hoping this weekend will turn it all around.

Until then, at least we have an archive of social media reactions that we can get a good chuckle out of.

Here are just a few photos, videos, and zingers posted in response to all of the craziness that fell from the sky this week.

BUT MOST? WE THINK IT’S SAFE TO SAY – THAT CALGARIANS ARE OVER IT

Here’s to sunnier days, and warmer weather ahead for Calgary – because we’re running out of things to binge on Netflix and we could seriously use a patio beer.

Stay warm, stay safe and stay sane out there, folks. We’ll get through this together.
