These Calgary companies are among Canada’s top family-friendly employers

If you’re searching for a new job in Calgary, two local companies just made it on the list of Canada’s Top Family-Friendly Employers.

Mediacorp recently released its list of Canada’s top family-friendly employers for 2025, and two Calgary-based companies, with Canada Energy Regulator and Dentons Canada making the prestigious list.

The Canada Energy Regulator, which employs nearly 600 people, made the list thanks to helping employees balance their day-to-day commitments with five paid family leave days per year.

Dentons Canada, which employs more than 550 people, was included because it supports parents-to-be, including adoptive parents, with generous maternity and parental leave top-up to 100 per cent of salary for up to 26 weeks.

When it comes to how the list is built, areas of review include the availability of maternity and parental leave top-up, support for family planning (such as coverage for fertility drugs and treatments and adoption assistance), flexible work arrangements that enable employees to meet their family obligations, and programs that support multi-generational families, such as compassionate leave and elder care assistance.

Any employer with its head office or principal place of business in Canada may apply for consideration. Employers of any size may apply, whether in the private or public sector.
