Summer in Calgary is pretty damn great. Between the river floats, patios, backyard sunbathing days, and so much more, the activities are basically endless. The downside? If you blink, you might just miss it. That means there’s definitely no time to waste on not rocking your best swim fits, and luckily, Swimco just opened a brand new pop-up shop in Willow Park Village so you don’t have to.
When it comes to a one-stop-shop for all our swimwear needs, nothing compares to Calgary-born (and swimwear OG) Swimco, and for good reason.
Swimco has been serving Canadians since 1975, and while they’re a household name now, that’s actually where they got started. In the basement of her family home in Maple Ridge, Corinne Forseth created Swimco (Swim + Corinne) in order to source a swimsuit for her daughter, who didn’t have a suit to match her swim team. The need to help her daughter fit in with her new swim team sparked the idea to start sourcing swimwear for other teammates, then other teams, and then families. Flash forward, Swimco now offers the widest selection of quality swimwear and beachwear for women, men, and children.
Since its early days, Swimco’s focus has been to help all Canadians Feel Good Half Naked. And while they’re transitioned to an online business model over the past year- that’s exactly what they pride themselves on doing.
Their website features tons of interactive tools and tips to help you find the best suit and fit for your body. From a detailed toggle feature, an entire page dedicated to sizing tips, to the ability to live chat with a Fit Expert, and book a virtual fitting. Calgarians are even able to book one-on-one in-person fittings at the head-off here in town.
While we may not be checking out the OG Swimco stores we’re used to hittin’ up at the start of summer, they definitely haven’t left us hanging. Their pop-up shop in Willow Park Village is open from now ‘til June 30th, and they’ve got everything marked down up to 70% off!
Time to stock up on some brand new swimwear and summer apparel, and get ready to feel damn good half-naked.
