An anime and art market with over 70 vendors is taking over Calgary this weekend

Calling all anime fans, stationery collectors, and art lovers! The Bungu Art Market is coming to Calgary this weekend, bringing together over 70 artists and vendors from all across the province, and offering everything from original artwork to stationery, K-pop merchandise, and plenty of adorable collectibles.

What to expect

Visiting the market feels like stepping into a mini pop culture wonderland. Everywhere you look, you’ll find colour displays, beautiful fan art, unique stationery, and K-pop collectibles.

For an extra treat, the first 50 attendees will receive early-bird prizes, and at the end of the day, 500 $5-off coupons from the event’s sponsor, Snowy Village, will be handed out to lucky guests while supplies last.

With so many artists, merchandise, and surprises under one roof, every corner promises something exciting to discover.

Plan your visit

The Bungu Art Market is completely free to attend, and no RSVP is required! For those who like a little extra prep, you can check in for the event on its website.

The market will take place at Macewan Hall at the University of Calgary on March 28, 2026. While on-campus parking isn’t free, paying for the full day on the weekend is the most budget-friendly option.

Lines may form if the event gets busy, so be patient and follow directions from staff and volunteers. Give yourself plenty of time to explore and wander, as the market is packed with treasures waiting to be discovered.

Whether you’re a longtime anime fan, a stationery collector, or just looking for a fun spring outing, the Bungu Art Market promises a full day of adventure. With over 70 talented vendors showcasing fan art, collectibles, and more, there’s something for every visitor.
