An Ontario lavender farm hosts photo-worthy picnics among purple blooms

Ontario summers are best spent outside. If you want to connect with nature without getting down and dirty, then Bonnieheath Estate Lavender Farm needs to be on your summer destination list.

Bonnieheath Estate Lavender Farm is located in Waterford, Ont., about two hours outside of Toronto, and boasts acres of views of gorgeous lavender.

There’s also a handful of picnic experiences to choose from! Guests can select where in the vineyard they want to picnic (by the apple tree, among the lavender fields, in the gazebo, by the pond, etc.) The base price is $75 per person and includes:

  • One glass of wine, cider or lavender lemonade
  • A fresh grazing plate
  • A dried or fresh bouquet of lavender

If you want to bring your own food, you’ll be charged an additional $25 for an “outside food” pass.

And lastly, if you’re visiting Bonnieheath Estate, be sure to pick your own lavender, with rates depending on the weight of your bundle.

Want to extend your stay? The estate has a suite and a farmhouse, each with a hot tub – perfect for an overnight visit with friends or as part of a romantic getaway.

No matter what you choose to do at Bonnieheath Estate Lavender Farm, you’re going to leave smelling amazing.
