Famous for its heavenly water, Moraine Lake is also located in Banff National Park and has delighted both locals and tourists all over the world. There’s nothing quite like it – so stretch those legs, bring a few snacks and check it out.

A scenic surprise after a short mountain hike, Grassi Lakes has some of the clearest, bluest water in the province. Our advice? Leave early because this particular trail gets pretty busy – though it’ll be worth it!

Farther north? Maligne Lake is Jasper National Park’s answer to Lake Louise. A tourist destination for over a century, Maligne Lake is bright blue and is also home to Spirit Island, one of the most beautiful in Canada.

Abraham Lake is an all-season stunner with some wildly blue water. What’s interesting, however, is that this is actually a manmade spot created in 1972 with the construction of the Bighorn Dam – though it’s still just as blue as the others on this list.
