This Washington Hike takes you through fields of wildflowers and has stunning mountain views

Looking to enjoy an unforgettable hike this weekend? It might just be time to head toward the Columbia River because Big Huckleberry Mountain is sure to be one of the most scenic hikes you try out this summer. Here’s what to expect from this 11.5-mile roundtrip adventure.

Sure, 11.5 miles may seem daunting, but remember that’s roundtrip and you don’t have to actually go that far into the hike to enjoy the views and beauty that the terrain has to offer. At just 2.2 miles in you can stop at the Knoll and enjoy views of Mount Hood and Adams.

If you want to go all out and get the full Big Huckleberry Mountain experience, you’ll continue on. Your journey will take you through wildflower meadows and also forests. By heading towards Grassy Pass you’ll go through another knoll full of flowers. Between the flowers and mountain views, this hike is hard to beat.

What’s more, if you don’t want to deal with the seasonal busyness of Dog Mountain, this is a great alternative. What’s more, there’s no parking pass or entrance fee to enjoy this hike. How could you say no to that?
