Well another week, another serious amount of rain in the forecast. FREEWILL SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL

Talk about a midsummer night’s dream, hey? The Freewill Shakespeare Festival is returning to Edmonton this week, offering an amazing night out under the stars! Little rain? Don’t worry, because the Amphitheatre is covered.

EDMONTON QUEER HISTORY TOUR

To add to the already impressive list of options this month, we’re letting you know about the new Queer History Tour series in Edmonton. They will highlight some stories from the city over the past few decades, in a 90-minute long walking tour that starts in Michael Phair Park and winds through the downtown core.

CHARLOTTE CARDIN

It’s a good week for rain, because we’ve got quite a few concerts to see! Charlotte Cardin just got the nod as the most-nominated artist at this year’s Junos, winning Pop Album of the Year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year, and Artist of the Year. Naturally, prices are pretty high.

A lil pseudo-surf/psych rock sounds like a great springtime option! This band is perhaps best known for their hit song ‘Confidence’, but we can attest he rest of their stuff is just as good!

THE CRYSTAL METHOD

Yup, a truly legendary name in the electronic music world is part of the concerts coming to Edmonton this June. Relive (or embody) the 90s rave vibe on a Thursday night.

Loosely part of the rap genre, but mixing elements of hyperpop, metal, disco… basically, whatever works. If you’re hoping to listen to something new in June, this is a great choice.

ART GALLERY OF ALBERTA

Two new exhibitions have arrived at the AGA! One sheds light on Haiti’s relationship to the world, while the other focuses on J’ouvert, a Trinidadian carnival dating back to the 18th century. Not exactly simple enough for kids to understand, so great as a more adult-oriented outing.

IMAGINE MONET
