The best plant shops and greenhouses in Edmonton to make your own garden oasis

With Edmonton coming into spring, the gorgeous plants and flowers are starting to bloom.

It’s the start of the season where everything is coming to life. The greenhouses and plant shops in Edmonton are starting to get busier and busier. Your question is, we imagine, which is the best plant shop to visit?

Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. With a selection of great plant shops and greenhouses to choose from, we’ve rounded up some of the best in Edmonton.

Without further ado, let’s get into the swing of things.

Kuhlmann’s

Open since the 1960s, this greenhouse is an Edmonton area staple, for sure. It definitely has all your gardening needs, genuinely whatever you could imagine. The team here also happens to do wedding arrangements, as well as everyday floral arrangements.

Where: 1320 167th Ave. NW, Edmonton, Alta.

Salisbury at Enjoy

Although Salisbury has another location in Sherwood Park, I am privy to the St. Albert location in the Enjoy Centre.

It’s extremely welcoming, bright, and easily has the best atmosphere for a greenhouse in the Edmonton area. Not only does it act as a shop, but this greenhouse also offers a great number of classes and workshops to level up your gardening skills.

Where: 101 Riel Dr., St. Albert, Alta.

Zocalo

Acting as a gift, flower and plant gallery in Edmonton, Zocalo is known for its incredible energy and fresh, funky finds in Little Italy. If you happen to swing by, there’s also a cafe hidden within the shop for your pleasure.

It’s also open every day (except Monday), which is an absolute win for any plant-lovers in desperate need of a new friend.

Where: 10826 95th St., Edmonton, Alta.

Botaniful

This garden centre has an extremely curated selection of plants to choose from, and, if you’re not from Edmonton, you can actually order from their store, as they ship all across Canada. It’s the perfect spot for those who are familiar with the routine of planting and those starting their journey.

Whether it’s the ficus ruby, a kokedama (also known as a moss ball), or something entirely different, you’re going to have a great time sifting through all the plants they have to offer.

Where: 13851 127th St., 2nd Floor, Edmonton, Alta.

Glass Earth Inc.

Nestled right in Kingsway Mall is this quaint plant boutique, offering a wide array of tropical plants and supplies you’ll need for your plant journey. It’s such a burst of life whenever you walk into it from the mall, with the eccentric greenery lighting the place up.

Not only does it sell plants, but it also offers services like plant maintenance, plant design, a plant bar with complimentary wine and tea, and so many more plant-forward tips and tricks.

Where: 1 Kingsway Gdn. Mall NW #722, Edmonton, Alta.
