While we don’t think mojitos are just a summer drink, they definitely top our list of favourite libations this season. After all, what better way to cool off than with a refreshing, minty mojito in hand? Since we’re in for some pretty hot and humid days ahead, we’ll get right to it. Here are 8 amazing spots for mojitos to check out in Vancouver.
The Eatery

Yes, the funky sushi spot in Kits with the “Miso Horny” sign by the entrance. But hear us out – if you haven’t experienced the magic of their mason jar mojitos, then you haven’t truly dined at The Eatery yet. Don’t get us wrong, the house rolls and udon are delicious, and we’ll gladly come back again & again to stuff our bellies full. But it’s their iconic jugs of mojitos that are the gift that keeps on giving.

Guu with Garlic

The name might not conjure images of ‘minty freshness,’ but Guu with Garlic has some of the best sake mojitos in town (plum wine, sake, ramune, and fresh mint & lime!) Plus, with the restaurant slogan, “garlic is sexy,” you know you’re in for a fun, flavourful night. Go for dinner & stay for drinks and good chats.

Earls

Two words: Blended mojitos. And best of all, they’re only $7 a pop during Earls’ daily happy hour! This one’s definitely our pick in terms of reliability and affordability – especially if the occasion calls for flowing bevies and continuous snacking.

Suika

This spot has the most mojito options on this list – and for just under $10 a glass, they’re well worth every penny. From the Yuzu Lemon Mojito (Japanese citrus & lemon) and the Suika Aloe Mojito (watermelon & aloe), to the Lychee Pineapple Mojito – they’ve got a bunch of inventive, refreshing flavours to choose from. Pair your bubbles of choice with one of their beautiful sushi bowls, and you’re all set.

Tocador

Tocador on Main is honestly a cocktail wonder in and of itself, with an eclectic mix of summer classics like pisco sours, margs, sangria, and piña coladas – and our fave coconut mojitos in the city. Our suggestion? Get a round of the coconut mojitos and then branch out with one of their many original mezcal or tequila-based cocktails. Plus, tacos are 2 for $8 during happy hour, so you’ll be pretty set on food & drinks.

El Camino’s

This Zacapa mojito is made with Havana rum and probably the tears of angels; when it comes to a refreshing summer drink, El Camino’s how to pour ’em. Our suggestion? Grab some of their Chilaquiles with housemade tortilla chips between 11 am and 3 pm and head to their sunny patio just in time for happy hour.

Mangos Kitchen & Bar

Ever been out to a restaurant and wished they had a dance floor because their playlists are that good? Well, Mangos has you completely covered. After a full meal of Empanadas, Lomo Saltado, and other Latin & Mexican fare, folks can enjoy some cocktails that are just as tasty and dance it out on their full dance floor. In terms of mojitos, Mangos is very on brand with a mango mojito as well as a classic one – so come for the sips and stay for their salsa nights!

Havana Vancouver

We’ve talked about Havana (and their patio) before, but that won’t stop us from raving about their delicious eats & drinks any chance we get. Case in point, they’ve got several refreshing mojito options in the mix, including passion fruit, coconut, and a classic mojito. If you’re looking for a great patio option, then look no further.
