If you’re on the hunt for a world-class stay without travelling too far, you’ll be glad to know that Canada is home to one of the best hotels in the world, according to Tripadvisor.
Travel guidance platform, Tripadvisor has revealed its Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Destination Awards, which honour travelers’ favourite destinations, hotels, restaurants, and things to do. According to the platform, it gathers its results based on reviews and opinions left by travelers and diners all over the world, on Tripadvisor, over a span of 12-months.

The awards fall into two levels: Best of the Best and Travelers’ Choice. Well, this Canadian hotel landed in the Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best category which is the highest honor as they are among the top 1% of listings on Tripadvisor.
It happened to be the only Canadian mention out of the 25 best hotels in the world – and we’re pretty proud of it. Ranked alongside stays in Costa Rica, Greece, Switzerland, and the Maldvies, The Hazelton Hotel in Toronto came in 21st place.
Per the list, the beloved hotel was recognized for its “5-Star Service and Accommodations” and viewed as “the epitome of luxury accommodation and personal services.”
This isn’t the first time The Hazelton Hotel has received such a nod. In 2021 it was ranked among the top 1% of hotels worldwide and received the Traveler’s Choice Best of the Best award, too. And the hotel also received the 2021 Traveller’s Choice award. Not too shabby!
