Published by CashNet USA, this particular list ranks the top spots from east to west – and what they found might surprise you!
Using data available on Trip Advisor, analysts compiled the hotels with the lowest quintile of price for 2 people for a single night on August 25th, 2023, then assigned each a score out of 100.
“Hotels in the bottom 10% for price with at least 50 reviews within each city were ranked based on the percentage of guest reviews that are five stars,” they explained.
“We included the capital cities for every country and the 25 most famous U.S. cities, defined as the percentage of people who have heard of a city, as measured by YouGov.”
In addition to their global list, they also broke it down by region and the Hampton Inn by Hilton Ottawa Airport (which charges just $100 a night) was given Canada’s highest score of 66.31%.
“The written reviews back this up, testifying to a generally satisfying, rather than mind-blowing, experience,” the continued, adding one review that read: “Our stay was great, loved the setup of the room. Bed was very comfy. Room was very clean. Internet was good, fast. Breakfast was nice, have a good assortment of food.”
Other top-notch hotels mentioned? In 2nd place was the YWCA Hotel in Vancouver, followed by the Hotel & Suites Le Dauphin in Quebec.
