ICYMI: The Battle of Alberta saw a very special proposal this week (VIDEO)

Quick- what’s your dream proposal scenario, and why is it during the Battle of Alberta? The long-awaited series between the Calgary Flames and the Edmonton Oilers saw something extra sweet happen this week, and it came from the stands.

During Game 4 (which took place on Tuesday), cameras caught two fans in a very tender moment. During the first period, and only 20-some seconds into the game, the man (proposer?) seized the opportunity of an Oilers goal and got down on one knee to propose to his now-fiancee (the proposee? we dunno, we’re just making up words now).

In a very fun twist, the proposal actually united two sides of the Battle of Alberta. While the male was rocking a Flames jersey, the female was actually donning the hometown Oilers. Yeah, we definitely love that level of unity even during what is sure to go down as one of the most exciting (and then upsetting) playoffs series for both teams ever.

But maybe love, as well as time, heals all wounds…
