You can take themed train rides & even sleep in a repurposed caboose just outside of Calgary

There is no shortage of spectacular things to do and see around the province of Alberta and Aspen Crossing, a magical destination an hour from Calgary’s city centre, is one that you have to visit while in the area.

While they’re best known for their Train of Terror and Polar Express events, Aspen Crossing is open year-round and offers a variety of themed train rides from dinners to mobile parties.

This spring, snag tickets for their BBQ Train, where guests will be encouraged to partake in 3 courses and even an epic train robbery.

If, however, you don’t have the meats but love the idea of taking part in an old-timey crime, you could also bring your parents along on Mother’s Day weekend to experience excitement, food and fun.

Also this upcoming season? A family-friendly princess and superhero-themed extravaganza, their twilight tours, a champagne brunch and their great Alberta Prairie Tour.

The best part? If the weather is nice enough you can also choose to camp – or stay in one of their repurposed Caboose cars after your excursion.

With showers, flush toilets, a playground and a restaurant, you’ll have access to a ton of comforting amenities despite being far from home.

Interested in booking your stay or learning more? Head to their website below and check it out.

There’s nothing quite like it!
