As Artificial Intelligence (AI) becomes more and more prevalent in business and tech, the need for skilled professionals with the training required to implement it continues to rise. And while AI is ever-evolving, it certainly doesn’t hurt to learn the basics of how it works. So if you’re keen on dipping your toes into the world of AI-powered automation and decision-making, here are 6 AI courses and programs to check out in Vancouver.

Artificial Intelligence Cloud Technology Implementation – UBC

We’ll start with a couple of online courses you can take at UBC – which can be combined to receive an Artificial Intelligence in Digital Media Certificate or two Micro-certificates.

The first course interested individuals can take is AI Cloud Technology Implementation ($750 to $950), which focuses on using AI in the cloud computing framework. Students learn how to design solutions with AI to improve customer experiences, business processes and decision-making.

Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence Cloud Strategy – UBC

This next UBC course ($950) teaches students the essentials of AI and gives them a critical lens through which to consider its implications in business, tech, and society. If you’re looking to dip your toes into AI but don’t know where to start, this is a great option!

Business Information Technology Management (AI Management Option) – BCIT

For those who want to dive further into the intricacies of AI and machine learning (ML), there’s a diploma program offered by BCIT that teaches students how to leverage AI/ML tech to drive innovation and streamline operations ($12,959 domestic tuition). To do this, students will use AI-driven data analysis, predictive modelling, and ML algorithms.

Artificial Intelligence Course – BrainStation

For those who prefer in-person learning to online, there’s a BrainStation course with your name on it ($3,250 or $290 per month). The part-time course (offered online and in-person) kicks off its next session on April 3rd, consisting of five Wednesdays total from 3:30 to 6:30 pm.

If that doesn’t work with your schedule, BrainStation has plenty of dates through December of this year to choose from.

Another great place to start when it comes to introductory courses on AI. Offered by The Knowledge Academy ($3,395), this course dives into AI applications in healthcare, education, business, finance, law, and manufacturing – to name a few.

Artificial Intelligence Expert Training – Unichrone

This three-day certification course ($1,444 online to $,1,529 in-person) allows students to potentially make a career shift through comprehensive AI training. The course enhances problem-solving skills, developing AI-driven solutions, and keeps students updated on the newest AI trends and tech.

The program is open to all individuals regardless of professional background, and students can earn their certification at the end of the course upon passing the 60-minute exam.
