Art & AI: A massive international fair is coming to Vancouver & here’s what to expect

Attention, artists and lovers of the arts! The largest contemporary art fair in Western Canada is taking place right here in Vancouver this May, bringing the work of 37 artists from across the country right to our proverbial doorstep. Let’s get into it!

Every year, Art Vancouver’s international art fair hosts new artists and galleries from around the globe, celebrating voices from a diverse cultural breadth. Taking centre stage are Canadian and Indigenous artists, who will have the chance to exhibit their work on a global platform and sell it to an audience of collectors and galleries.

“We are thrilled to have attendees and exhibitors coming to our beautiful city from around the world,” says Lisa Wolfin, Executive Director of Art Vancouver. “Having a global representation of exhibitors at our show is truly a privilege, bringing together diverse groups of voices and perspectives, and giving them a place on the world stage is incredibly rewarding for us. The possibilities are endless when such incredible talent comes together in one place.”

New this year? Art Vancouver’s panel of art professionals will discuss the ever-evolving relationship between the arts and artificial intelligence (AI). So if you’re interested in learning about how technology shifts the paradigm, consider checking out the fair’s Art Talks series!
