When it comes to après-ski experiences, it doesn’t get much better than a good, hearty meal and a drink to wash it all down. Thankfully, OpenTable just dropped a new list of the best après-ski dining spots in the world – which means you won’t have to do too much digging while planning your next ski trip.
And if you want to keep it local, there are two Canadian restaurants that made the cut: Walliser Stube in Banff and Wild Blue Restaurant & Bar in Whistler.
The former is situated inside the Fairmont Château Lake Louise, just minutes away from the ski resort. Although with its wood-panelling, European decor, and Alpine-inspired eats and drinks, you might just feel like you’re dining on the slopes of Switzerland. If you feel like gorging on fondue and staring out into the turquoise waters of the lake, this pick is a no-brainer.
The latter is Wild Blue in Whistler, the perfect spot to “shoot post-shred oysters” and unwind. Having opened just last year, this spot might be newer to the scene – but it’s already earned quite a rep for its oyster game and chilled seafood towers, most of which come from the Northern Pacific, according to OpenTable. And for those who worked up a giant appetite, there’s a steak frites menu with a variety of cuts available.
