Amazon is hiring over 9,000 jobs across Canada for the holiday season

Let the holiday hiring begin! Amazon is gearing up for what is sure to be another busy holiday season and to do so, they’re hiring across Canada. Amazon is going to be adding over 9,000 jobs to get the work done and opening five new AMZL delivery stations in British ColumbiaAlberta, and Ontario.

The jobs

According to Amazon Canada, there will be a variety of roles available.

“Jobs in Amazon’s operations network include stowing, picking, packing, sorting, and shipping customer orders at the company’s fulfilment centres, sortation centres and delivery stations,” shares the company.

Each role requires different skill levels and physical demands so be sure to check out a job description here before you apply.

Delivery stations

The five new delivery stations for the holidays will open as soon as this month, October.

“Amazon delivery stations are localized facilities that focus on the last mile delivery process, connecting products to customers in a particular region. Employees sort, scan and prepare customer packages before they are loaded onto delivery vehicles.”

The new delivery stations will be in:

  • Burnaby, BC (Riverbend Business Park)
  • Calgary, AB (Rocky View County)
  • Windsor, ON (Dodge Drive)
  • Ottawa, ON (Ottawa East)
  • Richmond Hill, ON (Vogell Road)

Amazon is also opening two ‘exchange point’ package depots in Sarnia and Cornwall (both in Ontario) before the end of 2025.

While most of these roles are seasonal, Amazon reminds those who are applying that “a seasonal role can be the start of future career opportunities at the company.”

Time to lock in something for the holidays at Amazon, Canada!
