Alessia Cara is headlining a free New Year’s Eve concert near Toronto

The City of Brampton is throwing a huge New Year’s Eve celebration with fireworks, food vendors and a free concert, headlined by none other than Grammy award-winning artist Alessia Cara.

If you’re still looking for NYE plans, maybe a trip to Brampton isn’t such a bad idea? Especially if that means you’ll get to enjoy an outdoor party with delicious eats and the best music.

What to expect

Residents and visitors are welcome to hit up Brampton’s Garden Square starting at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 for an evening full of festivities. If you live in the city, you can ride free on Brampton Transit after 7 p.m., so there’s no excuse not to attend!

You’ll find the most tantalizing eats by local food vendors along Main Street North. And if you head to Vivan Lane, that’s where you’ll find a heated seating area where you can warm up and enjoy your food.

The evening will kick off with DJ Chissmiss Cherry spinning the hottest tracks until the first local opener takes the stage at 8:35 p.m.

Though the first three acts have yet to be announced, Brampton can rest assured it’s going to be a night to remember. And of course, with headliner Alessia Cara taking the stage, you don’t want to miss out on seeing the Canadian star do what she does best – for free.

You read that right! The “Wild Things” singer will do a free performance before officially being inducted into Brampton’s Arts Walk of Fame.

Once the clock strikes midnight, the city will ring in the new year with a vibrant 10-minute fireworks display, presented by Tim Hortons.

Bid 2025 farewell, the best way possible, and welcome 2026 with open arms!

See you there, Brampton!
