‘The Last of Us’ filming has wrapped in Alberta & here is a look at its wildest sets (PHOTOS)

It’s been a wild ride since HBO first announced that their video game adaption of Naughty Dog’s The Last Of Us would be filmed here in Alberta – but all good things must come to an end.

Starring Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian) and Bella Ramsey (Game Of Thrones), the show will follow Joel – a smuggler who is tasked with escorting a young girl across post-apocalyptic America after a fungus wipes out most of humanity.

From incredible sets to celebrity sightings, TV enthusiasts and fans of the phenomenon have followed production closely – waiting and watching as premiere dates were pushed back and photos were shared from behind the scenes.

While we’ll have to wait until 2023 to see the province in all its glory, these photos and videos gave us insight into what we can expect when it hits our screens… and if they’re any indication – it’s going to be one impressive series.

As we said, we won’t be able to see the series in full until next year, but we’ll be on the edge of our seats waiting for it.
