These Alberta music festivals are looking for volunteers right now

Spring has nearly come and gone and there are even sunnier days ahead!

What will you do when temperatures rise and the days get longer? The province is your oyster, but if you love live music, we’d recommend working at one of the many music festivals taking place in Alberta!

No matter the genre, the size, or the price point, there’s really something for everyone this summer, but some experiences won’t be cheap.

Luckily, many events are looking for people to help out with everything from admissions to security. Some positions might even come with a paycheque! 

Not sure where to apply this summer? Here are just a few of the biggest events where you can enjoy bass, fresh air, and get to know some new people this season!

Calgary Folk Festival

Great music, good food, and sunshine! This summer, apply to be among the many volunteers that get to attend the Calgary Folk Festival for FREE. Those who are 14 years of age or older can apply to be everything from cooks and drivers to electricians and engineers.

Edmonton Folk Festival

Love Folk music? The Edmonton Folk Music Fest is back and looking for volunteers to carry out a variety of tasks working on 70+ crews using “a spectrum of physical, technical and interpersonal skills.” Apply now!

The Calgary Stampede

Yahoo! This year, The Calgary Stampede will feature a variety of musicians at Nashville North, The Coca-Cola Stage, and the Big Four. If you’re a fun-loving Albertan available this July, you could get paid to attend the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth.

Country Thunder
