The holidays are just around the corner and there’s already magic in the air! From markets to snow-covered trees, there is no shortage of things to see, but twinkling LEDs? We can’t get enough! Luckily, Calgary has a ton of Christmas lights and holiday displays that will make the season bright – one of them being the largest of its kind in Western Canada!
Set to dazzle its guests, the Airdrie Festival of Lights is a giant outdoor light display that you walk through for FREE year after year.

Celebrating its 28th year, those who attended can warm up near a firepit, sip hot cocoa, and even ride a miniature train which chugs around the park.
Want to check it out? This particular Calgary Christmas lights display will run between December 1st to 31st from 6 pm to 9 pm
Now, while you don’t have to pay for your place on the boardwalk, donations will be accepted to keep the park (and this festival) going is also appreciated.
Enjoy and happy strolling!
