The holidays are just around the corner and there’s already magic in the air! From markets to snow-covered trees, there is no shortage of things to see, but twinkling LEDs? We can’t get enough! Luckily, Calgary has a ton of Christmas lights and holiday displays that will make the season bright – one of them being the largest of its kind in Western Canada!

Set to dazzle its guests, the Airdrie Festival of Lights is a giant outdoor light display that you walk through for FREE year after year.

With, what they estimated is around a million dollars worth of displays and special features, this enchanting event is not one to be missed – no matter your age!

Celebrating its 28th year, those who attended can warm up near a firepit, sip hot cocoa, and even ride a miniature train which chugs around the park.

Want to check it out? This particular Calgary Christmas lights display will run between December 1st to 31st from 6 pm to 9 pm

Now, while you don’t have to pay for your place on the boardwalk, donations will be accepted to keep the park (and this festival) going is also appreciated.
