Remember when the Jonas Brothers were spotted all over Toronto for their holiday project? Well, A Very Jonas Christmas Movie is now out, and it didn’t take long for fans to shout, “Wait… I know that place!” as they recognized Toronto locations throughout the film.
Earlier this year, Disney+ announced the film, calling it “a holiday comedy slated to premiere during the 2025 holiday season.”
In the movie, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas deal with a number of obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families, according to the streaming platform.
And while Toronto is known for doubling as New York on screen, Canadian fans could not be fooled. It looks like the boys explored every corner of Toronto since fans spotted a number of popular city destinations.
And we’re not surprised the movie is mostly all Toronto hotspots. The trio had been seen all over the city, including at Cafe Renee, The Well, and Cherry’s High Dive.
Local creator Becca Rhodes, aka thefilmtripper, even highlighted all the scenes that were filmed in the city. She points out Buckingham Palace is actually Casa Loma, there are also a few scenes in Blue Bloods Steakhouse, Exhibition Place, Princes’ Gate, the St. Lawrence Market and, of course, Massey Hall.
And there’s definitely more you can spot throughout the movie.
So whether you’re watching for the JoBros or just love spotting Toronto in holiday movies, A Very Jonas Christmas Movie is a fun, festive pick. Sounds like it’s time to start a Christmas movie marathon if you haven’t yet.
