A Terrifying Haunted Car Wash Experience is Arriving in Calgary Just in Time for Halloween

Start your engines, folks! A live-action haunted car wash is arriving in Calgary and it sounds like it’s going to be one heck of a time. If you’re into spooky stuff, of course. Let’s see what Calgary’s Scare Wash has in store for us.

From October 29th to October 31st, the 10th and 10th car wash, in partnership with B!G Art and Le Cirque De La Nuit, will be converted into a squeaky-clean house of horrors. Tickets will be $49 per car, with $1 from every purchase going directly to the Calgary Food Bank. Oh, and you can also bring non-perishable food items to donate if you’d like.

So, what is a haunted car wash experience? According to the website, this one-of-a-kind haunted car wash will include a 10-minute ride through a car wash from hell. There will be live actors, special FX, an FM-transmitted soundtrack, and an intelligent lighting system that are all designed to scare you silly. Here is a snippet of what the creators of the event have to say about it:

Alright, well we’re pretty stoked that our car will actually be washed! But we’re mostly excited to not know what to expect. After all, being seriously surprised will definitely make it easier for us to be scared out of our minds. And isn’t that what Halloween is all about?
