A socially distanced floating boat cinema is coming to Toronto!

Just when we were getting excited about all the drive-ins in Toronto, the game has been upped a notch. Because we’re about to get an all-new floating cinema that’s unlike anything we’ve seen this summer. Yes, you read that correctly. Floating. As in, you boat-in instead of drive-in. Pretty cool, right?

The week-long event is brought to us by Beyond Cinema and it takes all the love of the movies and combines it with the love of boating. They’ll be showing a selection of new releases, plus some of the classics. And everyone in attendance will get free popcorn! Plus, there will be other snacks and drinks available for purchase as well. Then you just sit back (on your boat!), relax, and enjoy the show.

So the floating cinema will hold anywhere from 12-24 mini boats. And each boat can hold up to 8 people. So if you’ve got 8 folks in your bubble that would enjoy this experience, sign up to get your tickets ASAP. You can pre-register for updates on the event and ticket sales here.

And, of course, the best part is that this is entirely social distance safe. Since everyone will be separated by the water, there’s no need to worry about spreading the virus. Sign us up!!

FLOATING CINEMA

When: Wednesday, September 16th – Sunday, September 20th
Tickets: Pre-register here.
