We’ll just say it- the moose is definitely one of the most fearsome animals on the planet, at least for us. The 8 foot tall Monty the Moose was roaming around the southwest neighbourhood of Chappelle on Wednesday. He caused quite the stir, attracting residents from all over the city to come to take a look. Luckily, Instagram user @vagabond_harsh was kind enough to send over some photos and videos.

Now, back to our original point: moose are pretty fearsome creatures. So, if you spot one (in Edmonton or a national park) make sure to keep your distance. And, if it’s in an urban area, it’s probably a good idea to ring Alberta Fish and Wildlife, in case that hasn’t already been done.

Other than that, we look forward to seeing more animals around Edmonton! Fingers crossed for a bison herd in Hawrelak Park.
