A first-of-its-kind trapeze performance happens in Seattle this weekend

There’s an incredibly unique performance happening in Seattle this weekend. It’s called Dances in the Sky and it’s a visual and musical collaboration between Emerald City Trapeze Arts and the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra. Trust us, even if performing arts aren’t exactly your thing, this might just change your mind.

It’s an awe-inspiring Aerial performance featuring a world-class Flying Trapeze act led by internationally acclaimed flyer, Jordan Tribble. You’ll get to watch as performers take to the air performing against compositions by Johann Strauss, Jr., Claude Debussy, and Georges Bizet. What’s more, the show also features harpist, Sophie Baird-Daniel.

But what exactly makes this performance so special? Well the combination of talented musicians and performers is enough but according to The Seattle Times, this performance may be the very first of its kind. “No one involved in “Dances in the Sky” has ever heard of live orchestra accompanying a flying trapeze act.”

So treat yourself to what may prove to be a part of trapeze and orchestra history this weekend. The performance is 21+ and guests are encouraged to dress formally for the performance. So pull out your best dresses and suits, grab your friends and snag tickets while you still can. You can learn more and grab tickets by clicking below.
