Cedar & Steam is a totally new concept to hit the Calgary spa scene and we’re all for it.
Cedar & Steam is a reimagined boutique spa in Avenida Village that offers drop-in steam and saunas. The idea here is to embody the essence of high-end Scandinavian spas and combine it with a community feel. With large communal steam and sauna rooms, you can hit them up with all your pals and loved ones.
Their sauna and steam passes include full access to their Cedar Sauna, Infrared Sauna, Himilayan Salt Sauna, Steam Room, rinse station, lockers, and more! And don’t forget to bring your growler- Cedar & Steam has kombucha on tap, so make sure you fill up on your way out!
And trust us, you’ll want to get the full experience and book a massage with one of their RMTs. Every massage comes with aromatherapy and a flight of kombucha to start, and get this- up to two hours of steam and sauna use as well. This is incredibly important because our muscles tend to tense up after a massage if you don’t give your body time to decompress. With such a heavy focus on health and wellness, we’re so happy that Cedar & Steam know and offer this.
Cedar & Steam was started by owner and CEO, Brandy Lind, who traveled around Australia and met new friends just by visiting the communal, unisex steams and saunas that are a common thing there. Now that’s a cool story and we’re so down to adopt some international influences to build a better sense of community right here in Calgary.
The beautifully appointed boutique spa will have you feeling like your bank account will hate you later but it’s actually the opposite! You can drop in for just $28, but once you try it, you’re going to want to get that monthly membership for sure. A visit to the Remedy Bar for on-tap kombucha is worth it alone!
