Remember last summer when roller skating took over the internet? No matter where you turned, there were folks on skates twirling the day away. Hey – it’s great exercise AND a fabulous skill to pick up in quarantine, so we can’t say we’re surprised by its popularity. Well, this year Toronto’s roller skating game is reaching all new levels because Retro Rolla is coming to town.
Retro Rolla is an incredible throwback pop-up dedicated to, you guessed it, roller skating! They’ve got a travelling vintage retro trailer and gorgeous skates that they take city to city to bring on the summer fun. You can see where this is going, right? Toronto is their next destination!

Get ready to lace up, people! Whether you’re a total newbie or a roller pro, now you can skate like all your favourite TikTok stars till the sun goes down.
The pop-up is set to roll through one of Toronto’s top public spaces this summer, but the exact spot hasn’t been announced yet. Any guesses? Leave ’em in the comments!
If we weren’t excited already for summer in the city, now we’re off the charts. Be sure to keep an eye on the Retro Rolla Instagram for more updates as they come.
