The holidays are upon us and some of and tree lots are open for business! From Firs and Evergreens, your living room could definitely use a little magic – so there’s no time to waste (especially because there will be a shortage this year). Not sure where to shop? Here are 8 places where you can get a Christmas tree in Calgary.
With a lot full of trees (the most that they’ve had in their history) Calgary’s Golden Acres is ready for the holiday season – but this time around they’re doing things differently. This year, in the wake of BC’s many storms, a percentage of all British Columbia-grown Christmas greens will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross flood relief. Needless to say, that if you’re in need of a tree – this is definitely one place we’d recommend checking out.

Freshly cut and ready for pickup, each tree at Blue Grass Nursery is unique, special and top quality. Here, shoppers can also stop in at their market for everything from ornaments and wreaths to lights and stocking stuffers.

Greengate Garden Centre in Calgary practically lives for Christmas. From freshly-cut trees and ornaments to poinsettias and wreaths, these folks have it all, which means they’re certainly not a bad place to look for something special this holiday season.

From trees of all scent profiles and ‘never-fail” stands, the folks at the Plantation Garden Centre put a lot of love into their stock at Christmas. Also, because they grow most of it themselves, they’ll be able to answer any and all questions you may have – which is super handy when it comes to bringing home a responsibility.

Alberta’s “premium supplier of premium grade trees,” Mountain View has a ton of offers, and will even deliver a tree to your door if need be! Here, everything is high quality, well taken care of and sold with love – and we dig that.

Now, the name is a bit deceiving but – their game is still self-explanatory! Imported from a farm in Nova Scotia, Calgary Christmas Tree sells top-quality product, all of which was cut 10 days before they land on the lot and are refrigerated during transportation. They also have three convenient locations throughout the city which is nice, so check them out!

With super reasonable prices and three locations throughout Calgary – Landscape Plus is a solid choice when shopping for a tree this year. Here they have 4 varieties of green, ranging from 2 to 16-feet tall and a knowledgeable staff that can help you decide which is best for you – but hurry! Once these folks open, they’ll be sure to sell out quick.

Spruce up your living room and kill two birds with one stone. Here, shoppers can get a Christmas tree AND – for on December 11th and 12th meet and greet with Santa and his reindeer. Of course, because December is a couple of weeks away you could always do these two things separately. Either way, check them out!
