The surreal location (and them views)

Banff is an incredible winter destination, and Buffalo Mountain Lodge is the perfect place to enjoy it. . The lodge is nestled in the trees a little up Tunnel Mountain Road. So, even though it’s only a 5-min drive from downtown Banff, it is a peaceful retreat away from the crowds. Needless to say, it offers unreal Rocky-backdropped views that will create memories to last a lifetime.

The cozy accommodations (and the outdoor hot tub)

Great accommodation is a CRMR specialty.  With its wide variety of room categories to suit any need, Buffalo Mountain Lodge is no different. The best part? All rooms feature a wood-burning fireplace to keep you warm inside and out to maximize coziness. A selection of these rooms are even pet-friendly, so you don’t have to leave your furry friend behind. The lodge also has a fitness centre and an outdoor hot tub. You know what that means? Yes, cozy soaks!

The mountain tapas ( and boozy bevies)

Is a holiday ever complete without soul-nourishing food and lip-smacking drinks? We say not!  The lodge has you covered with all the culinary delights you’d expect from a place this beautiful. At their in-lodge restaurant, The Prow, you’ll find an extensive menu. This includes mountain-themed tapas, game meats, shareables and pastas, all made with locally sourced ingredients. You’ll even find some delicious local craft brews and a great wine list. Oh, and they defs know how to get creative with cocktails.

The mountain adventure (and more views)

We are talking about Banff National Park. Of course, tlhis iconic Canadian destination is loaded with scenic drives and tons of mountain adventure. There are many trails to hike and slopes to ski and tube that are only a short drive away. But if you want to hike or snowshoe for some insane views and physical activity, you won’t have to go far. The nearby Tunnel Mountain has you covered. The hike will take you past breathtaking views of the town below, the Bow river, Mount Rundle, and more. For something a little lighter, try the Hoodoos trail, another scenic beauty to be explored.

The Banff escapade (and stunning photo ops)

As anyone who’s been to Banff National Park will agree, there’s more to it than just the Rockies. From the cute town of Banff, to gorg lakes, such as  scenic Lake Minnewanka. And of course, snap a ton of spectacular pics because frankly, every corner here is ‘Grammable.
