This weekend is going to get toasty and you’re definitely going to need some spots to cool down. Luckily Seattle has a fair number of places that you can get out of the heat this weekend. That being said, if you are able to stay cool at home please leave these public spaces for those who do not have the same amenities. Here are 46 places in Seattle that’ll help you beat this heat wave.

Seattle Parks Community Center Cooling Center Hours

International District/Chinatown Community Center (Sunday and Monday 2 pm-8 pm)
Northgate Community Center (Saturday and Sunday 2 pm-8 pm)
Rainier Beach Community Center (Saturday and Sunday 2 pm-8 pm)

Libraries

The listed libraries are air-conditioned public spaces and you can use them as a place to cool off. Keep in mind that masks are still required regardless of your vaccination status. You’ll also be expected to respect physical social distancing.

Pools and Water Areas

Wading pools are open to the public according to the schedule below and spray parks will open to the public on Saturday, June 26th from 11 am-8 pm every day. Lifeguarded Beaches  start on Saturday, June 26th from, 12 pm-7 pm on weekdays and 11 am-7 pm on Saturdays and Sundays.

We don’t have to tell you twice (but we will) please make sure to drink enough water and put on that SPF. Temperatures in the 100’s are not normal for Seattle and none of us are used to heat like this so go easy on yourself. With that, have a great weekend and stay safe.
