Trust 17th Avenue to one-up everyone, even themselves. And the street is at it once again, this time with its fabulous holiday event, 17th Days of Christmas. That’s right folks, our all-time favourite street is bringing 17 whole days of entertainment, fun, happy hours and more.
Starting December 1st you will see Tomkins Park turn into a holiday wonderland with dazzling lighting and décor, and a big screen showcasing all the Christmas classics. Imagine catching your fave holiday movies under the stars sipping on hot (and preferably spiked) chocolate.

In addition to their opening weekend movies, you’ll find a slew of holly jolly events.
You can enjoy festive live entertainment in Tomkins Park and roving performances along the Ave. Think carolers, local bands, break dancers and a few appearances from Santa Claus among others.
You also won’t wanna miss the two holiday themed pub crawls taking place! Head down to The Jingle Mingle taking place December 10 and the Single Jingle Mingle on December 17. Both pub crawls will run from 2 to 8PM and feature five different venues, each with drink and food offers and specially curated live festive performances at each stop. The Single Jingle Mingle is the perfect opportunity for merriment with old friends and new. And who knows, maybe you’ll find someone to kiss under the mistletoe this Christmas! Both are open to anyone 18+ and tacky Christmas regalia is highly encouraged!
Now, here comes the absolute best part about this whole event— it’s free! Meaning, holiday fun won’t cost you an arm and a leg. And that friends, is the real miracle.
