Happy Thursday, folks! Here we are, looking at a fantastic weekend of summer weather in Vancouver. Naturally, we want to make the most of it, and want to share our ideas with you! If you’re looking for some laughs, some adventure, or some relaxation, we’ve got some things in mind.

Here are 10 things to do in Vancouver this weekend.

Have a patio beer

That’s right folks, we think it’s time for a little patio beer this weekend. Honestly, we think Vancouver has one of the best craft beer scenes in the country, with dozens of local names to check out. Need a starting point? We’ve rounded up some of our favourites around the city.

Visit a lavender farm

For the first time since starting out 4 years ago, Lavenderland is ready to open to the public. This 8 acre farm features 7 acres of lavender, and we think it’s a perfect relaxing outdoor activity. Heads up though- tickets need to be booked only in advance!

When: Opens Saturday, June 19th
Where: 8460 Steveston Highway, Richmond
Cost: $15 for GA

Head to your local patio

Neighbourhoods around Vancouver have teamed up to create the most comprehensive patio map of Vancouver yet. But, that’s not all, because they’re also giving away prizes for lucky people who complete a related survey. If patio beers and prizes for rating them is what’s needed of us, then we guess we’ll have to step up to the plate.

Visit some zany roadside attractions

It’s been a while since we’ve been able to recommend this one, but travel restrictions getting lifted means we can once more! From a giant Smokey Bear statue to the world’s largest standing cuckoo clock, BC has got some truly incredible (and kitsch) sights to see.

Go on a quick camping trip

We recently rounded up some of our favourite camping spots in BC. From spots close to Vancouver to some truly remote locations, we think this is a great starting point. And with summer now more or less in full swing, we can’t think of a better time to get exploring!

Unleash your inner wizard

A brand new interactive experience has landed in Vancouver this week! The ‘Wings and Wizards’ experience combines immersive audio and visual technology with ‘real’ wands to help you cast spells, solve riddles, and more. Plus, the wand idea is pretty genius, since it replaces normal touchpoints.

When: Open throughout the weekend

Check out a flower walk

Fleurs de Villes, Vancouver’s stunning flower walk in support of breast cancer research, returns this Friday! Businesses throughout downtown Vancouver will have over 50 incredible flower displays for you to check out. It’s self-guided, it’s beautiful, and it’s free! That’s a weekend trifecta to us.

Where: Around downtown Vancouver

Treat yourself to a scoop of the good stuff

One easy way to get over a rainy day in the summer is with a little bit of ice cream! Whether you’re craving the classics or trying to find the weirdest options in the city, we’ve got you covered. Personally, we’re aiming for a flavour that’s off the beaten path, but still delicious. Luckily, Vancouver has no shortage of that.

Have some fun at Playland

Not one but two iconic BC attractions have opened, and we think you should check out them both! First up is Playland, which has officially reopened for the summer. Expect delicious food, a safety-first atmosphere, and of course, thrills a-plenty.

Get back on the Sea to Sky Gondola

Looking for a different kind of thrill? Why not hang around on top of a mountain for a couple of hours. After dealing with their second act of serious vandalism in as many years, the Sea to Sky Gondola is back up and running! We say go show some love for this amazing attraction.

Tickets: $55.95 for GA, $14.29 for Ride-Down Only

Alright folks, that’s what we’ve got in mind for you this weekend! We hope that you enjoy it.
