CATCH THE BATTLE OF ALBERTA

That’s right folks, May is kicking off with the final Battle of Alberta of the season. So far, the Oilers have beat the Flames more than they’ve lost against them this season. And, we’re confident that this trend will continue for their final matchup.

BREAD AND CIRCUS FUNDRAISER

Hosted by Edmonton’s own Firefly Theatre and Circus, this event combines cooking class, circus acts and live-streamed music. Learn to make Fougasse Bread, courtesy of Get Cooking, while performers all over the world show off their skills for you.

GRINDSTONE THEATRE FUNDRAISER

It’s the week of fundraisers, we guess! In contrast to Bread and Circus, the Grindstone Theatre is putting together a raffle (with a potential $10k grand prize) that you can grab tickets from all week long. Then, on Friday, sit back and enjoy a livestreamed event courtesy of the theatre!

GO BIRD WATCHING

Welcome to the easiest bird-watching expedition you’ll go on all year. Three massive, glowing, inflatable chickadees have landed on the roof of the CO*LAB Building, and they’re just waiting for you to see them. Our advice? Try and get there for dusk, and mix in the sunset with the trip.

SPOOK YOURSELF ON A GHOST TOUR

Edmonton Ghost Tours will be available all spring long! Join on an outdoor walking tour through Old Strathcona, and learn about the darker side of the area’s history. Led by a guide with over 12 years of experience, these ghost tours are a great way to get outside and learn about Edmonton.

GRAB SOME GROCERIES

DO SOME STARGAZING

One great part about the spring? Amazing sunsets and wide-open skies. Make the most of it with a trip to Elk Island National Park- explore some of the trails in the afternoon, then head back to your car for stargazing in the evening. Add in some hot cocoa in a thermos and you’re cruising!
