HIT THE NICKELBACK EXHIBIT

Costumes, photos and behind-the-scenes footage! The National Music Centre presents its highly anticipated Nickelback exhibit! Featuring instruments and other items that belong to Canada’s best-selling rock group, fans are going to love it!

CHECK OUT THIS IMMERSIVE VIDEO INSTALLATION THE ESKER FOUNDATION

Ragnar Kjartansson’s immersive video installation “The Visitors” documents an epic single-take musical performance featuring eight musicians performing a folk music opus of repetition and cannon blasts. You won’t want to miss this unique and thought-provoking experience that explores the intertwining of pathos, joy, and communal emotion.

They say you’re supposed to learn one new thing every day, but we think that you should do it with a drink in your hand! The best place to do that? Telus Spark! This April, check out their many exhibits, then, hang by the bar and vibe to some music, or get interactive with this month’s “adult” display at Spark After dark!

CHECK OUT THE BEAUTY AND THE BEAST POP-UP

Described as an “escape room, a theatre show and an adventure all blended into one,” this event will challenge its guests to solve riddles and play games in an effort to lift an awful curse. The best part? You’ll be encouraged to do it all with a drink in your hand.

GRAB ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT EVENT

Got an itch that only street food can scratch? This week, stop by The Halal Guys in Calgary for a food-forward event where guests will be encouraged to seriously indulge in falafel, rice and gyro – but hurry! You’ll only have a few days to get into it.

VISIT GLENBOW MUSEUM’S TEMPORARY GALLERY

Looking for something FREE and fun? This week – for the last time – you can check out Howie Tsui: Retainers of Anarchy at the Edison. Featuring a 25-metre hand-drawn animation strip, this exciting exhibit brings together martial arts characters and techniques with the social and political realities of present-day Hong Kong.
