If there’s one thing that Toronto likes to do, it’s eating! While the city loves all sorts of food it’s pretty dang clear that there’s a bit of a preference for ribs. It turns out that there are not 1 but 10 different rib fests to check out in the GTA this summer. If you’re ready to get your BBQ on keep reading because we have all the deets you need to have the tastiest summer yet.

Here are all of the rib fests you can check out in the GTA this summer.

Richmond Hill Drive Thru Ribfest

This Ribfest is unique in that you need to reserve a drive-thru time slot before you head over to Elgin Barrow Arena. Once there you can browse the menu, place your order, pick up your meal, and enjoy! You can also always browse the menu ahead of time.

When: July 23rd-25th
Where: Elgin Barrow Arena Parking Lot, 43 Church St S, Richmond Hill

Ancaster Drive-thru Ribfest

Two rib fests in one weekend? How will you ever choose? Honestly just go to both. This Ribfest boasts authentic southern BBQ, as well as classic festival, treats in a drive-thru format at the Ancaster Fairgrounds. Seriously just check out both rib fests this weekend, you have nothing to lose.

When: July 23rd-25th
Where: Ancaster Fairgrounds, 630 Trinity Rd S, Jerseyville

St Catharines Rotary Ribfest

Check out St Catharines Rotary Ribfest later this month for a tasty experience. You can enjoy ribs from Camp 31, Billy Bones, and Uncle Sam’s during all in a drive-thru format.

When: July 31st-August 2nd
Where: The Pen Centre Parking Lot, 221 Glendale Ave, St. Catharines

Stouffville Drive-Thru Ribfest

You also need to pre-register to check out the Stouffville Drive-Thru Ribfest. But registration is now open so you can get on it early because you don’t want to miss out on the highly anticipated championship ribs with award-winning BBQ sauces.

When: August 6th-8th
Where: Hoover Park Drive & Park Drive, Stouffville, ON

Cambridge Ribfest

This one you really have to check out because it’s only happening for one day! Not to mention it’s a community fundraiser held by the  Rotary Club of Cambridge Sunrise and Cambridge North so you really can’t say no to that.

When: August 7th
Where: Hespeler Memorial Arena, 640 Ellis Rd, Cambridge

Brantford Kinsmen Annual Ribfest

Here’s another double whammy rib fest weekend. But this one is definitely worth checking out as it’s one of the few none drive-thru rib fests happening. You can enjoy ribs as well as a rib eating contest and even an escape room! So if you’re looking for more than just ribs this is probably the event for you.

When: August 6th-8th
Where: Brantford & District Civic Centre, 79 Market St S, Brantford

Oshawa Rotary Ribfest

The Rotary Club of Oshawa is having its 19th annual Ribfest during the time of COVID-19… How coincidental. Anyway, this Ribfest is also happening in a drive-thru format but its location is TBA so stay tuned!

When: August 13th-15th

Oakville Family Ribfest

Oakville’s largest outdoor event is happening this year as an equally delicious drive-thru event. That means you can enjoy those messy but mouth-watering ribs in the privacy of your own home or backyard.

When: August 20th-22nd

Ribs Rythm & Rotary Ribfest

This Ribfest says it’s back but in a “modified form”. There are no extra details as to what that modified form is but perhaps a drive-thru? You’ll have to check it out for yourself this August to find out.

When: August 27th-29th

Ribfest & Craft Beer

You can have your cake and eat it too and at this Ribfest which features not only BBQ but also craft beer! You can also enjoy live entertainment and a Kids Fun Zone. So bring the whole fam!

When: September 17th-19th
